Christmas in October – Gifts for Men

I know, I know, it’s only October and I am already talking about Christmas. But, I have such a hard time finding gifts for the men in my life that I feel like my wheels are spinning all year long in hopes of finding something … anything … that is man-approved.

Does anyone else have trouble finding good gifts for men? I am sure my guy would probably dig new motorcycle “things”, a guitar, a new watch, a trip to San Francisco, or a new Xbox “machine”. But, I always feel like I am grasping at straws. I can only buy so many pairs of fun socks and bottles of Scotch before I feel super lame. This goes for all the males in my life (sorry guys).

My husband and I have a set limit for gift giving, which probably shocks most people. Our budget is set at $50 (ish) dollars per person. In this day and age, you can barely even buy underwear for that amount, but ultimately you could always spend more or buy bigger gifts. We’ve chosen to cap our spending as part of our conviction to live simply.

Our purpose in simplifying our budget for gift giving:

  • Being able to be generous to others
  • Being good stewards with our finances and living within our means

To that end, here are a few $50-100 gift ideas for the men in your life:
