POTLUCK PIZZA ROLL UPS

Potluck Pizza Roll Ups

Does anyone else panic when they have to bring a potluck dish? I do. For this specific event, I needed something that didn’t need to be heated, that could easily be eaten with just fingers and that would please the crowd (except for those darn Paleo folks like myself! Don’t worrry. Paleo potluck posts to follow.).

Panic no more. Roll out some dough, toss on some ham, shred some cheese, melt some butter and throw the buns in the oven and you’ve got yourself a potluck phenomenon.

Ingredients
  • 1 can Pillsbury refrigerated Classic Pizza Crust or one batch of homemade pizza dough (I always have some  extra  homemade dough in my freezer)
  • 12 (ish) cold cuts (ham or prosciutto are great!)
  • 2 cups (ish) grated mozzarella cheese
Glaze
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Unroll the pizza dough onto a cutting board and press into approximately a 13×18-inch rectangle. Top with ham and grated cheese. Starting on the longer side of the rectangle, roll up the edge tightly.
  3. Cut into 12 slices, approximately 1-inch wide. Arrange in 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. Next combine the butter, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Sriracha, mustard, and poppy seeds in a sauce pan over medium heat. Whisk until the butter is melted and the glaze is smooth and combined. Pour evenly over the rolls.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours or bake, uncovered for 25 minutes until golden and browned.
  6. Be a potluck legend.
Makes: 12 rolls.

These look delicious! Pizza never fails. I need to get braver with dough. Bread making is an area I would love to excel in.

Bread making is my FAVE! Dan and I want to try make a “traditional loaf” on our next date night. No yeast but allowing the dough to create it’s on gasses and fermentation etc. EEK!
