To the best of my ability, I like to bring homemade snacks and lunches on the go. But I also hate bringing 1,00,00,000 containers with me. Yes – if you’re a mom, there is literally that much food required  to cross the street. No joke. (Okay, maybe a little!)

I discovered LunchBots while searching for a plastic-free container. Why plastic free? For bodily health and the health of our planet. Plastic can contain BPA, endocrine disrupters, phthalates and other chemicals which adversely affect our health. Do I have plastics in my home? Yes. But I definitely try to limit them. I also like to “reduce, reuse and recycle” and lighten my footprint on the planet. It’s a simple step and one of my conveniences I’m willing to trade in.

I love the “Quad” by LunchBots. It has four compartments to divide snacks and treats, and it’s easy to take on the go. Light, easy to clean and motivates me to pack food from home!

Favourite “Quad” Combinations

  • Bacon, blueberries, carrots, cheese
  • Chicken, apples, cucumber, tortilla chips
  • Pistachios, grapes, snap peas, dried mango
  • Popcorn, M&Ms, strawberries, almonds

Highlighting #mombosses

Jacqueline Linder started LunchBots from the comfort of … her garage? Yes – she did! She searched high and low to find stainless steel containers as a healthier alternative for her children’s food. She couldn’t find anything that met her standard. In 2008, she launched LunchBots, a family-owned business, and is happy to share plastic-free containers for you and your family to take healthy food on the go.

Benefits of metal lunch box

  • Made with 18/8 stainless steal BPA free, toxin free
  • No linings or toxins
  • Virtually unbreakable
  • Save money and zero waste

I have about a million glass Pyrex containers but they weigh a ton to bring out and about. This looks like a great alternative!

I had a student last year who had a very cool lunchbox like this! I’d love to get one for myself and my husband as we both take a lunch to work 🙂

My Preschoolers backpack is so heavy this would be a great way to pack his snack for school without adding a lot of weight
