BABY PETE’S MIDCENTURY, LLAMA THEMED NURSERY

All photos snapped by the wonderful photographer Lorelei Vanderheide of Lorelei Rose Photography

This nursery would not have come into thought or fruition without the detail, hunting, and feedback of Tara Marshall of Hunted Home Goods. She was a delight and a supreme help despite all the ups and downs we faced putting together this nursery!

I loved getting to dream this room up little by little. The look and feel of this room was initiated  by two pieces. The first piece was the wallpaper from Rocky Mountain Decals because I couldn’t think of anything cuter than llamas in a nursery. Truth be told, llamas in any room would have had me starry-eyed! Next was the weaved wall hanging from Jenell Flynn of Spruce and Linen as the colours and texture complimented the wall paper so well.  All in all, the combination of these two pieces led to the birth of a mid-century inspired room. Tara Marshall snatched the best find of all – the wicker bassinet off Kijiji- which Baby Pete barely slept in – because if you know Pete, you know he didn’t sleep for over half of his life. Super Baby.

It took me 5 months to put everything together and it is currently my favourite space in the house. I used decor and final touches from items I had floating around our home and only added a few extra touches, like plants, from @plantshopyyc to complete the look.

Should I put a detailed item list together?? Comment below!

  2. Wall Paper – RockyMountainDecals
  3. Photographer – Lorelei Rose Photography
